Moses was born about 1747. He married Hannah about 1772.
Between September 1793 and Mar 1794, he moved with his family from Gunpowder, Maryland to Brownsville, Fayette, Pennsylvania, where he was learning about iron smelting. By Oct 1794, the family had returned to Gunpowder, Maryland.
He moved to Zanesville, Ohio around 1805. He passed away in 1839 at the age of 92.

Moses Dillon's Will was probated 23 Aug 1839 in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. [4]
"I, Moses Dillon of Zanesville, County of Muskingum and State of Ohio do make and ordain this my last will and testament.
1st, I give and bequeth to my beloved wife Martha in lieu of dower, all my household furniture, excepting my clock. I give her my carriage. Isaac Dillon is to furnish her with a good safe carriage Horse in place of my Hock horse which he has had the use of. I give her one cow. I also give her One hundred and fifty dollars a year while she remains my widow, to be paid to her as follows viz - Forty Dollars by my son John Dillon and one hundred and ten Dollars by my son Isaac Dillon, as hereinafter stated; she shall also be permitted, if she wishes, to remain one year after my death in possession of the house and lot now occupied by me, free of rent.
2d, I give bequeath and device to my son John Dillon the house & Lot in Zanesville where I now live, also all sums due from him to me by note of hand or otherwise, except one note for sixty five dollars, which sum he is pay my widow on demand. The aforesaid house and lott is to be subject to the annuity of forty dollar before stated, dureing my wife's widowhood.
3d, I give devise and bequeath to my son Isaac Dillon One hundred and Eight acres of land situate in Falls township in said County, being part of the fourth quarter of Township one, and Range Eight, United States Military lands conveyed to me by Charles R. Goddard to whom it had been conveyed by Isaac Dillon in trust, reference being had to said deed and records thereof. Also lots Six, Nine and twelve in South Zanesville so called, agreeable to a plat of said lots on record, to hold all the aforesaid property subject to the payment of One hundred and ten dollars to my wife yearly and every year as before stated while she remains my widow. Also subject to the payment of his note of hand to me for One hundred dollars which is to be paid my wife on demand.
4th I give to my Grandson Moses Dillon, Son of John Dillon, my Gold Watch.
5th I further give to my Son Isaac Dillon my Clock, and all the rest and residue of my Estate of whatsoover Kind.
I appoint my Son John Dillon and Isaac Dillon Executors of this my last Will and testament.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 15th day of May in the year our Lord Eighteen hundred and thirty nine.

In her will Bridget Dillon Smith leaves money to her brother Thomas Dillon(married to Elizabeth Shaw), his son Moses Dillon & Moses' daughter Rachel Baker. Your Moses Dillon didn't have a daughter Rachel.
