Biography

Mahala Ann Frances Dillion was born on March 15, 1938 and died on February 28, 1917 in Bookwalter, Fayette County, Ohio, USA. She was 78 years, 11 months, and 13 days old.

She was the daughter and fifth child of Thomas Jefferson "Jefferson" Dillion SR born 1809-1900 and Margaret Ann Perdue 1809-1895. Her parents had 10 children.

In 1858, she was united in marriage to William Prunty and had the following three children: Irena, and Thomas Jefferson Prunty. Mr. Prunty, also known as Brunty, lost his life in the Civil War in Tennessee on March 19, 1862. This left her a widower with small children.

Mahala then married James M Griffin (born 1835) in 1865 after the Civil War. Only on of the children survived, Jennifer "Jennie L. 1867-

She then married in 1870 to Joseph Price (born 1825-1898) and had the following children: Nancy Ann 1870-1907, Lucinda 1875, Jesse A 1876, and Arthur 1879.

She then married in 1904 in Brookwalter, Ohio, to George Washington Carle SR born 1819-1922. They had 15 good years together before she died in 1917.
