Biography
Lemuel D. Dills, son of Jeremiah Dills and Rachel Payne, was born on 10 March 1876 in Macon County, North Carolina[1] and passed away on 4 June 1946 in Long Island, Queens, New York.
Lemuel married Mary Isabella Patton on 23 December 1897 in Macon County, North Carolina. The family resided in Cartoogechaye, Macon County until they left for Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina between 1920 and 1930. By 1940 they had relocated to New York.
