Biography

Birth About 1833 in Ireland. [1]

Died 4 Jun 1904 of apoplexy on Jones St., East Ward, St Marys, Perth, Ontario, Canada. [2] He was buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, on Highway 7 west of St. Mary's, Ontario. [3]

He lived with his parents at the time of the 1851 census in Glendale, Blanshard, Ontario. Samuel married Susannah Dowzer before 1855. At the death of John Dinsmore in 1863, his farm on lot 16, concession 11, Blanshard was sold to Samuel for the sum of $1.00. [4] They lived there after that. In 1871, Mary Jane b. c. 1856 lived with them and may have been their daughter. [5] [6] [7] By 1901, Samuel had retired and moved into St. Marys. His daughter Evlina and neice Jennie Capes lived with him. [8]
