Feb. 25, 1804 - John Siddon certified that he had no claim to the improvement he made at th e head of 12 Mile Creek near Cowpen, as he complimented the same to Michael Jones. Jones assigned over his title to Nancy Dismukes and her heirs. EPHRIAM4 DISMUKES (JOHN3, WILLIAM2, WILLIAM1)

Feb. 27, 1811 - Nancy Wilson showed that her husband, Ephraiim Dismukes had wilfully left their residence with intention to separate from petition. She sued for separation. He was order put under $1000 bond.
Andrew and Alcenith Dismukes were minors over 15, children of Nancy and Ephraim Dismukes. They represented that their father was indebted to them for $100 cash. Gabriel Grice was appointed their tutor. Dismukes left his wife on Jan. 19, 1811, taking with him slaves, horse, et c.
Territory of Orleans, Parish of St. Helena: Elizabeth Stilley and William Redden summoned to appear at the house of William Spiller to testify in the case of Nancy Wilson vs. Ephraim Dismukes. Dated July 5, 1811
April 24, 1811 - Petition of Ephraim Dismukes that the statements of Nancy Wilson, his wife, were unfounded, that he had to remain away on business and she refused to go with him. He could prove his good intentions toward his family and her as his wife by Abner Womack and Berry Vincent. He claimed that he had certain goods stolen from him with reason to believe they were in the house occupied by Nancy. He took his children with him and claimed that she took the children away while he was in St. Tammany Parish.
Sept 23, 1811 Nancy Wilson appointed guardian to Mary Dismukes and Cynthia Dismukes, minor children of Ephr aim and Nancy (Wilson) Dismukes. Asenath Dismukes asked that her mother Nancy be appointed her tutor on a document dated Oct 24, 1826.
Jan. 29, 1812 Ephraim Dismukes entered suit again John Wilson for $144 rent due. Mrs. Nancy Wilson got decree of separation.

Nov . 5, 1797., (3) Joseph T. Maddox, Information on Some Georgia Pioneers -- Maddox, 52, Family Heads 1805 GeorgiaDismukes, Ephraim, Warren County, wife left him re-married a Parker. He moved to Florida. Son of John, Sr.) was born 12 Jul 1775 in VA, and died in Livingston Parish, LA (previously part of Spanish West Florida). He married NANCY WILSON, daughter of ANDREW WILSON. She was born 1782 in Wilkes Co, GA, and died in Devers, TX.

Notes for NANCY WILSON: "Early Records of Georgia", Volume 1, Wilkes County, Georgia, Minutes of Inferior Court, show s Nancy Parker was appointed guardian of her children by a former husband, Ephraim Dismukes , to wit Cinthia, Andrew, Cinderilla, Cemith, and Moriah Dismukes.
Marriage Notes for EPHRIAM DISMUKES and NANCY WILSON: In the 27 Jul 1814 issue of The Georgia Journal, published in Milledgeville, GA, Ephraim DISM UKES stated that his wife left him in West Florida about five years before without provocatio n and consequently he will not be responsible for any debts incurred by her since her return to Georgia.

#331 Gabriel Grice to Cindrerella Dismukes; April 28, 1829, State of La., Parish of St. Helena Personally appeared Abram Womack, an inhabitant of the state and parish aforesaid before me t he undersigned Jacob Smith a Justice of the Peace,... who deposeth and sayeth that he was in Madison County, State of Georgia, on or about the first of Sept 1826; that he, the aforesaid was there informed by one Esqr. Averhard that Gabriel Grice was several years previous to the above date married unto a Miss Smith and that the wife of said Grice (Guice) had bourne him four children that he Averhard was present at the marriage of Grice and Miss Smith and tha t Averhard...was one of the attendants; and that he lived for sometime a neighbor unto Gric e and family---and that the wife children of said Grice were at the above date living in th e State of Georgia and said Grice has absented himself for sometime previously from the State of Georgia further more that this affiant has good cause and just reasons to believe that the above named Gabriel Grice is the same person whom was married about three years since unto a Miss Cinderella Dismukes of the Parish of St. Helena...and that Gabriel Grice has been absent from this parish for some time past...
