Ruth accompanied her parents when they moved from Sackville to Kirtland, Ohio. In 1850, she married Edward O'Hara and lived for a while in Indiana. In 1860 they went to California, and then later to Payson, Utah. Their children were Mary Elizabeth, and Genevia and Eugenie (twins).[2]
