Charlotte Ann was the daughter of Alexander Dixon and Fanny Brown. [1]
She married Donald McMillan on October 10 1876 in Charlottetown. [2][3][4]
Charlotte's mother Fanny died in 1882, after a long illness.
Several of her children died young. Ella Blanche died in 1879. Ernest Hamilton McMillan died at age age 1 in 1885. [5] A son Donald Frederick died at age 2 [6]
In 1891, Charlotte and Arthur Newman were in Charlottetown with Ida May, 13 (McMillan); George, 19 (George McMillan), Nellie, 5 (McMillan), William, 2 and Charlotte, 4/12. Her father Alexander died later that year.
Their son Irving Alexander died at age 2 years and 8 months. [8]
In 1900, she was living in Massachusetts with her second husband Arthur Newman. [9] They had been married for 12 years. [10]
Charlotte said she had borne 11 children, with 6 living in 1900.
