James was born in 1877, his birth registered at Natimuk, Victoria. He is the son of James Dixon and Eliza Parish. [1]
His father, aged 35, died in the same year that James was born:1877. During 1879, his mother married James Anderside, at Dimboola. At least seven more siblings were born.
In 1906, in Victoria, James married Susan Hart. The Victorian marriage index (on cdrom) confirms his birthplace as Natimuk. Susan was born in Victoria. [2] From 1907 to 1921, the births of nine children were registered in Victoria.
James passed away in 1957, aged 80. His death was registered at Ouyen, again confirming his birthplace. His father was names as James Dixon but his mother's name was unknown. [3]
