"OBITUARY. THE remains of the late Mr Norman Dixon (for many years hairdresser in Ferguson street Nth. Williamstown) were interred in the Williamstown Cemetery The late Mr Dixon died on April 15 and the funeral which took place on 17th inst was well attended. The pall-bearers were Messrs A. Bell, F. Woolf, C. Gray, G. Armstrong, N. Armstrong and A. Freeman. The funeral arrangements were conducted by Mr L. T. Wear and Rev. G. Cameron read the burial service." The cause of his death was sepsis caused by a dentist pulling his tooth with instruments that had not been sterilised.
