Biography

Mrs. Nora Dixon Beal, 77, wife of Charles C. Beal of 255 North Jefferson avenue, died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 1952, in her home, after an illness of a week. Mrs. Beal was a daughter of Milton and Maria Van Faussen Dixon, and was born April 25, 1874, at Bloomfield O. She spent the last 36 years in Cannonsburg , moving here from Bloomfield O. She was a member of the Chartiers United Presbyterian Church for the last 36 years, and was a member of the Women's Bible Class of the church. She and her husband would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 6. They were married in 1892. Surviving, besides her husband, are one son, Cecil Beal, of Clinton, Md.; a granddaughter, Dorthy Osler McCollum, who made her home with her grandparents; six other grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Ethel Beal Osler died in 1941. Friends are being received at the Robert E Wylie Funeral Home, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, in charge of her pastor John T Browniee. Burial will be at Oak Spring Cemetery
