Robert is my Great Grandfather & I have researched his family for many years. He married Sarah Beckner Sep 2nd, 1866 in Goshen Elkhart, Indiana. There is no record of his burial in Minneha Cemetery, but Zona Williamson, a descendant has an old Family Dixon/Williamson History stating that he was buried here where her father John Wesley Williamson was buried in Jan of 1901. There is no record of John being buried here either, but Zona remembers the day of his funeral vividly, and remembers her Grandfather Robert being buried here too. John married Mary Armetha Dixon, daughter of Robert & Sarah Beckner Dixon. Note here the spellings of the surname. SOmetimes it was Dickson on records, but Correct spelling is DIXON. I am thrilled to be able to apply for a veterans Civil War headstone to Honor him for his 4 years service in the war of the Rebellion, Serving from Sep 24, 1861 thru Dec 2, 1865.
