Curtis Dixon was born on October 12, 1752 in Coventry, Kent County, Rhode Island. He married Lydia Wright on April 4, 1776 in Oxford, Worcester, Massachusetts.[1] He was a Revolutionary War Veteran. He and his family arrived in Jefferson County, New York in 1820. He passed away on February 22, 1835 in New York state, United States.[2]
Lydia, Curtis's wife, received an allowance from his Revolutionary War service from the state of New York. Payments continued until her death.[3]
Curtis Dixon appeared as rank of Private on the Massachusetts muster role of Capt Nathaniel Healey's company and Col Larned's regiment dated 1 August 1775. Time of enlistment from 1 May 1775 was 3 months, 1 week and 1 day and he was from the town of Oxford, MA.[4]
