Clara (Dobson) Meares was born on 30 Apr 1888, daughter of Robert Dobson (1852 - 1893) and Clara (Potts) Dobson (~1856 - 1903).[1]

Clara (23) married Stuart Dearden Meares (28) (1883 - 1962) on 29 May 1911 in St.Mary's Church, Merivale, New Zealand.[2] Their children were:
- Wyndham Maurice Meares (1913 - )
- Stuart Laurence Meares (1916 - ).
Clara died about 1960 aged ~72.[3]
