Biography

She was born in 1817. The 1881 Census says she was born in the United States. [1] The Descendants of Thomas James Gamble suggests she was born in New York but I am still looking for a source on this.

William Clark and Anne Christiana Dobson were married on January 1, 1835 on Prince Edward Island [2]

Daughter, Elizabeth Ann Clark was born June 30, 1837 in Tryon, Prince Edward Island and was baptized February 18, 1851 in the Bedeque United Churche in Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. [3]

1881 - Living with husband William (67) and granddaughter Elizabeth Nelder (16) in Lot 28, Prince, Prince Edward Island, Canada [1][4]

She died on June 3, 1881 and is buried in the Tryon People's Cemetery. [5][6]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Anne by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Anne:

Was she born in New York or Nova Scotia? Or somewhere else entirely? I can't find any solid evidence.
