Birth dates range from 1865 to 1867. As father was in military service from Sept 1864 and did not return, early 1865 seems reasonable
He married Marian Eliza Matson February 16th 1888 in Wellington Kansas. She was the third of seven children. Simon and Marian had 6 children born in Kansas including Matilda (Tillie) Dobson. Four of their children died in Kansas, including Stella and Sallie and Jim and Eliza.
However brother George Wilber moved with Tillie around 1900 to Washington state. Around 1904 the Dobson family moved to the Leask area of Saskatchewan where her other brother Edwin Claude was born.
