Biography

Ada E. Dodd was born (Estimated) 1856 in South Carolina to father Thompson Dodd and mother Nancy Dodd.[1]

She was noted as born 1857 in South Carolina as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Thompson Dod, female Nancy Dod, male William Dod, female Martha Dod, female Marga Dod, male Dixon Dod, male Jesse Dod, female Lucrter Dod, female Louisa Dod, female Charry Dod and female Darcus Dod.[2]

She was noted as keeping house, born 1859 in Georgia and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self John M Dodd, daughter Ada Dodd, son Odus Dodd and other James H Neely.[3]

Ada E Dodd was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Red Apple, Boaz, Marshall County, Alabama for the June 6, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born September 1857 in Georgia and had been married for twenty-two years. She was the mother of nine children of which all were still living. Also included in the household are head John M Dodd, son Odis Dodd, daughter Nancie B Dodd, daughter Willie G Dodd, daughter Ella C Dodd, daughter Maggie B Dodd, son John T Dodd, daughter Blanch Dodd, son Asa L Dodd and servant Andrew Ogletree as seen in an image of the original census.[4]

Ada Dodd was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Arab and Guntersville Road, Warrenton, Marshall County, Alabama for the May 4, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1857 in South Carolina and had been married thirty-five years. She was the mother of ten children of which all were still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head John M Dodd, son Johnie Dodd, daughter Blanche Dodd, son Leonard Dodd, son Lunice Dodd, daughter Maggie B Bales, granddaughter Floella Bales and granddaughter Glenis Bales.[5]
