He was noted as born 1875 in Arkansas and married. He was an owner and a farmer on a general farm as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Osie Dodd and daughter Nannie Dodd.[3]

William D. Dodd was listed as the father of Durwood D. Dodd who died May 2, 1963 in Terrell, Kaufman County, Texas. The mother was listed as Osie Bickham.[4]
