Mary Dodd was born in 1860, the child of Agnes Liddell and James Dodd.[1] She was Christened 8 April 1860 in Devonport, Tasmania.[2]
She married Robert Samuel Pointon in 1876 "in the house of James Dodd, Lowes Bridge, Tasmania".[3][4]
Mary and Robert had children as follows:
Mary Ann Pointon (1879-1950,
Helen Elizabeth Pointon (1881-1925),
Emma Amelia Pointon (1884-1950),
Alice Ada Pointon (1887-1954),
Samuel Robert William Pointon (1890-1966),
Rebecca Louise Pointon (1893-1944),
Jessie Maria Pointon (1895-1965), Frederick Pointon (1897-),
Sarah Jane Pointon (1898-1985).
Mary died in 1939, in East Wynyard, Tasmania at the home of her daughter Emma and son-in law Herbert Lockett[5][6] and was buried at Claude Road Cemetery, Tasmania, Australia.
