He was noted as born 1842 in South Carolina as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Thompson Dodd, female Nancy Dodd, female Martha Dodd, female Margery Dodd, male Dickson Dodd, male Jesse Dodd and female Lucresia Dodd.^[1]

William Dod was enumerated at Post Office Cross Kees, Union County, South Carolina for the June 6, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1842 in South Carolina and a farm laborer as seen in the image of the original census.
