Biography

William Dodd was enumerated at Union, Union County, South Carolina for the August 15, United States Census, 1850. He was noted as born 1842 in South Carolina as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Thompson Dodd, female Nancy Dodd, female Martha Dodd, female Margery Dodd, male Dickson Dodd, male Jesse Dodd and female Lucresia Dodd.[1]

William Dod was enumerated at Post Office Cross Kees, Union County, South Carolina for the June 6, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1842 in South Carolina and a farm laborer as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Thompson Dod, female Nancy Dod, female Martha Dod, female Marga Dod, male Dixon Dod, male Jesse Dod, female Lucrter Dod, female Louisa Dod, female Charry Dod, female Darcus Dod and female Addy Dod.[2]

W T Dodd was enumerated as self at Stilsboro, Bartow County, Georgia for the June 19, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as a carpenter, born 1842 in North Carolina and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife M W Dodd, daughter M Y Dodd, daughter O B Dodd and son Thompson Dodd.[3]

William T Dodd was enumerated as head of the household in Precinct 13 (excl. Hobson & Oxford towns), Calhoun County, Alabama for the June 19, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as a farmer and born May 1842 in South Carolina. He had been married five years and was a renter as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Madora K Dodd and daughter Oles B Dodd.[4]

Wm T Dodd was listed as the father of Mattie Dodd who died February 15, 1933 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. The mother was listed as Franklin.[5]

William Thompson "Bill" Dodd is buried at Oxford Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oxford, Calhoun County, Alabama.[6]
