He was first married at the age of twenty-seven. He was an owner of a home worth $1000 and an engineer (civil) as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Eunice H Dodd, son Jere Dodd Jr. and brother-in-law Hugh J Hitchcock.[2]
Jere Dodd, Sr. is buried at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rome, Floyd County, Georgia.[3]
