Thomas Dodd, Jr., was born 23 June 1841 in St. Andrews East, Argenteuil, Lower Canadal to Thomas Dodd (1814-1899) and Agnes (Nicoll) Dodd (abt.1803-1867). He was baptized in the same place on 3 October, 1841. At his baptism was listed an uncle, William Bird, and his paternal grandparents, Adam and Agnes Dodd.[1]
Thomas was in the U.S. Civil War with the 22nd New York Cavalry.[Citation needed] He married Annie Dudderidge in 1866 in Lachute, Québec.[2]
They had at least one child, Mary, who married Newell Baldwin.[3][4]
In the 1880 Census, Thomas is listed as a blacksmith with his father born in Canada and his mother born in Scotland (contradicting 1900 Census with father's birthplace, see below). He was employed as an Engineer of the Defence Lackawana & West Railway from 1871-1907.
Thomas passed away in 1910 (according to original biography text, contradicting source below, uncertain).
