Biography
John was born in 1882, his birth was registered in Hexham, Northumberland, England. [1]
He served in 4th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers during World War I. In his Attestation he confirmed he was single and that he was a tailor. [2]
He died in about November 1918, his death was registered in Hexham, Northumberland. [3]
Research Notes
There was another John Dodd who also served in the Northumberland Fusiliers during World War I and was killed in action on 20 March 1918. However that John Dodd was the son of Paxton Dodd. [4]
