Biography

Sarah Elizabeth was born January 2, 1871 in Georgia to father Jno. D. Dodd and mother Barbara Brown.[1]

Sarah E Dodd was enumerated as daughter at 548th Militia District, Clayton County, Georgia for the June 5, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as at school, born 1871 in Georgia and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Barbera B Dodd, daughter Elvira E Dodd, son Asa M Dodd, daughter Cleopatra V Dodd and daughter Eva C Dodd.[2]

Sallie E. Dodd wed Charlie C. Wilson January 22, 18 in Fulton County, Georgia.[3]

Sallie E Wilson was enumerated as wife of the head of household in ED 108 Precinct 22, Jefferson County, Alabama for the June 21, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born January 1870 in Georgia and had been married four years. She was the mother of three children of which all were still living as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Charles C Wilson, daughter Alberta B Wilson, daughter Ester Wilson and daughter Ida Wilson.[4]

Sarah E Wilson was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Birmingham at 36th Avenue (or Smith Hill), Ward 13, Jefferson County, Alabama for the April 18, United States Census, 1910 as seen in an image of the original census. She was noted as born 1871 in Georgia and married. Also included in the household are head Charles C Wilson, daughter Burtie Wilson, daughter Esther Wilson, daughter Eva M Wilson, daughter Inez Wilson and son Charlie Wilson.[5]

The family was listed in the 1922-3 telephone book as living at 1530 35th Avenue North, Birmingham, Alabama and with telephone number Hemlock-50.[6]

Sarah Elizabeth Wilson died in Birmingham, Jefferson County as recorded of her August 5, 1925 Alabama Death. She was to be buried at Elmwood Cemetery. She was noted as a housewife and her husband was listed as Chas. C. Wilson.[1]

Sarah Eliz Wood ? was the mother of record for daughter Willie Elsie Wilson when she wed A Preston Cockrell in Jefferson County as recorded of her January 22, 1938 Alabama Marriage. She was living at 1530 North 35th Avenue in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama as seen in the image of the marriage records. Her father was listed as Chas Lwellyn Wilson ? (the groom must have provided this incorrect information of her parents). The groom's parents were father Wm Riley Cockrell and mother Sarah Lavonia Durrett.[7]

Sarah Elizabeth Dodd is the mother of record in the Birmingham, Jefferson County October 18, 1959 Alabama Death of daughter Esther Rebecca W. Danforth. The husband was noted as Charles E. Danforth and the father Charles C. Wilson.[8]
