Sergeant Asa Dodd served in the United States Civil War.

Asa S Dodd was enumerated at Fayette, Fayette County, Georgia for the October 28, United States Census, 1850. He was noted as born 1837 in Georgia as seen in this United States Census, 1850. Also included in the household are male John S Dodd, female Elizabeth H Dodd, male James L Dodd, female Elizabeth Dodd, male Thomas E Dodd, male Francis M Dodd, male George Dodd, female Nancy Dodd, female Ludercka A Dodd, female Setha A Dodd, male John D Dodd and female Sarah L Dodd.[1]

A L Dodd was enumerated at Fayetteville, Fayette County, Georgia for the July 12, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1838 in Georgia and was noted as a farmer as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male J S Dodd, female E H Dodd, male G M Dodd, female L A M Dodd, male M F Johnson, male J D Dodd and female S L Dodd.[2]

He was killed in the civil war.
