He was noted as born 1817 in South Carolina and a farmer that had $2000 in value of real estate and $885 in value of personal estate as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Ellena Dodd, male John S Dodd, female Louisa E Dodd, male Elijah T Dodd, female Mary E Dodd, female Lucinda M Dodd, male Sylvester Dodd and male Andrew H Dodd.^[2]
