Biography

Merle "Mabel" Dodds was born in 1890 in Colorado, United States the daughter of J.R Dodds and Della Faust.

At age 18, she married Gilbert George Shelton Allen on Jun. 30, 1908 in Saratoga, Carbon, Wyoming. Gilbert George Shelton, son of George Henry and Mrs. Azuba Aisaline Allen] , was born on Feb. 3, 1890 in Saratoga, Carbon, Wyoming, USA and died on June 12, 1949 in Phoenix, Maricopa, Arizona.

Gilbert and Mabel are listed in the 1910 US Census for Carbon, Wyoming. They have a one year old son Gerrett* ^[1]

After Gilbert George Allen left Wyoming, Mabel married Raymond Ault. ^[2]

Raymond and Merlie were known in Wyoming for their talent with music. They played music at square dance halls for many many years. They have his parents living with them in 1940 Wyoming. ^[3]

Merlie lived to be 99 years old. She passed peacefully living with family in Wyoming.
