Jethro served in the War of 1812. Jethro enlisted in Capt. James Lanier's company of Virginia Militia. Jethro applied for his pension about 1871. Jethro's pension file is "War of 1812 #S.O. 5621.[3]
Jethro appears in the 1820 Federal census in Pittsylvania county, Virginia.
Jethro's household appears as follows: 2 meles under age 10; 1 male age 26 thru 44; 1 female under age 10; and 1 female age 24 thru 44.[4]
Jethro married his second wife Lydia P. Sleeper on the 25th September 1847 in Sullivan county, Missouri.
Jethro appears in the 1850 Federal census in Linn county, Missouri. Jethro's household appears as follows: Jethro age 55; Lidy age 38; Joseph age 22; Eli age 20; Sarah A. age 13; Jithro age 11; John Sleper age 20 and Mary Sleper age 5.[5]
Jethro appears in the 1860 Federal census in Linn county, Missouri. Jethro's household appears as follows: Jethro age 65; and Ann age 50.[6]
Jethro died the 23rd November 1871 in Linn county, Missouri, per the information given in his pension files for his service in the War of 1812.[7]
