Hi Ted, I've been researching the Jesse B. Dodson for a bit and just attached here as a son. I have not yet found absolute proof but the research I've included on his profile definitely makes this connection. You might want to have a look at what I found for Elisha (Jesse B., Nicholas, & William) in McMinn County as it may also prove helpful to you and fills in a bit of your 1829 to 1850 gap in residency. Thanks, Honi
Hi Honi, This is tough to reconcile. I'm not saying it is impossible, but Jesse B. having three wives named Sarah seems unusual. Also, the 3 spellings of Dodson (Dobson; Dotson) add to the confusion (although still not impossible). Another thing I notice is the children seem to have inconsistent names and DOB's. ... and lastly, there are now two sons of Elisha Dodson-825 named Jesse (Jesse B. and Jesse A.). This is another anomaly that's not impossible, but unusual. These collective inconsistencies should be considered. There is a possibility that these records represent different Jesse Dodson's)?
Dodson-825 and Dodson-2907 appear to represent the same person because: Hi Tom, looks like we got the same Elisha Dodson. Our relatives really liked the name Elisha. Makes it confusing. His son, Henry, had a bunch of brothers and sisters. My info is coming from a bible I recently inherited from my dad that belonged to my gggrandmother. My Uncle was a Mormon and his documentation was also given to me. Best Regards, Ted Dodson
