Alice married William Creel Nov 25, 1729 - Richmond Virginia.

Children:

  1. Rev.John Creel
  2. William Creel, Jr
  3. Matthew Creel
  4. Sarah Creel
  5. John Creel

Burial: North Farnham Episcopal Church Farnham Richmond County Virginia, USA

Find a Grave also states she died in Farnham, Richmond County, Virginia.[1] Her death date is not clear, with some researchers stating it was 1751 (this profile). But other facts indicate that she died before 1743; there are records that her husband married again in that year.

Slaves

Alice was bequeathed a negro slave girl Sarah in the will of her father, Thomas Dodson Sr. If Sarah stayed as an enslaved person in Alice (Dodson) Creel's household, when Alice died as some researchers claim, either before 1743 or by 1751, Sarah would then become part of William Creel's estate. It is possible, though, that Sarah died or was sold away from the Dodson/Creel. More research needs to be done to find out what happened to Sarah.
