Biography

Zachary was born on March 8, 1848 [1] the first child of McMinn and Sarah (Cunningham) Dodson. He traveled at the age of four over the Oregon Trail with his parents and younger brother David. Zachary passed away in 1930.[2] He is buried at Olex, OR Cemetery. He graduated from Willamette University, Salem, OR USA in 1877 [3]as did his uncle, Oliver Monroe Dodson. Initially he had a practice in Dallas, Polk, OR USA. [4] Dr. Dodson went to Pine City, Whitman County, WA as a government employee to provide care on the Indian Reservation.[5] He is buried at the Olex Cemetery in Gilliam Co. OR, USA[6].
