Biography
Elias Dodson Jr. was born the 27th October 1807 in Halifax county, Virginia. Elias was the son of Elias Dodson and Nancy Stamps.
Elias was a young child when his father died and lived with his mother under the guardianship of his older brother, Stamps Dodson. Elias attended the Baptist Seminary at Richmond, Virginia where he graduated on the 2nd July 1838, and was ordained in September 1838. Elias never married.[1]
Elias died the 13th December 1882 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
