1914 Emma and Ernest were married in Granville[1]
The Sun reports:
The marriage of Miss Emma Jane Furbank and Mr, Ernest Donaldson took place at the Church of England, Sefton Park, last Saturday. The bride wore a white silk dress trimmed with net and pearls and shadow lace. .Her train was worked with pearls, ribbons, and orange blossoms. The. bridesmaids were Miss Hilda Furbank and Miss Donaldson, the former wearing white silk trimmed with shadow lace, and the latter champagne silk trimmed with lace. The bridegroom's gifts were a gold bangle to Miss Hilda Furbank and a gold ring to Miss A. Donaldson, and to the bride a diamond ring. The train bearers were Miss Amy and Master James Farrow. The Rev. Mr. Bidwell performed the marriage ceremony, and afterwards a wedding breakfast was held at the house of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Donaldson left on Sunday for Melbourne, where the honeymoon will be spent. [2]
1914 A daughter, Myrtle was born. Clara and Robert followed.
1945 Ernest dies, aged 57 Death notice Published in the Sydney Morning Herald:
DONALDSON -October 13,1945 at his residence, 25 Nottinghill Road, Lidcombe, Ernest Arthur dearly beloved husband of Emma Jane Donaldson and loved father of Myrtle, Clara and Robert aged 54 years. At rest.[3]
