Henry was born in 1870 in North Shields, Northumberland^[1]. He was the son of John Donaldson and Frances (Toulmin) Donaldson.

Marriage

Henry Donaldson and Ann Isabella Adams were married at Christ Church, Tynemouth, Northumberland on 6th June 1892^[2]. Henry was 21, a bachelor and the son of John Donaldson. Ann was also 21, a spinster and the daughter of Thomas Adams^[3].
