Biography

Isabella was born about 1816,^[1] probably in Gransha, Islandmagee, County Antrim, Ireland.

In 1839 she married James Bradford in 1st Islandmagee Presbyterian Church. He resided in Ballydown and she was from Gransha. The witnesses were [indistinct] Wright and Robert Tweed.^[2]

After the death of her first husband she married James Bell on 27 Feb 1846 in 1st Islandmagee Presbyterian Church, Islandmagee. He was a farmer from Dundressan and she was a widow (previously Bradford) from Ballydown, Islandmagee. The witnesses were John Bell and Hugh Bradford.^[3]

In 1901 she was living with her daughter Elizabeth Kerr and her family in Carnspindle, Islandmagee.^[4]

She died in Carnspindle, Islandmagee in 1901, aged 85 years, from senile decay. She was the widow of a farmer and her death was registered by her daughter Elizabeth Kerr of Carnspindle.^[5] She was buried with her second husband in the Bell family plot in Ballypriormore Graveyard, Islandmagee.^[6]
