Biography

Rollie Robert Donnan was born on 9 Dec., 1908 in Gratiot Cty., MI^[1]. In 1917 he was living in Breckenridge, Rural Route 2, Rd. 73 with parents Gratiot County, Michigan, USA^[2]. Between 1925 and 1928, Rollie attended Ithaca High School, Ithaca, Gratiot, Michigan^[3]. On 7 June, 1928 Rollie graduated from Ithaca High School, Ithaca, Gratiot, Michigan^[4].

In 1929, Rollie was a Freshman 1929 Southern College, Lakeland, FL^[5]. His highest level of education was 2 years college. See 1940 census below

By 2 Feb.,1939, Rollie was farming on his own^[6]. In the same year, Rollie married Marion Wolf on 20 May, 1939 in Angola, IN^[7]marriage by O.B. Noren, Luthern Pastor of Auburn, Indiana. Licensed issued same day. They continued to live in Breckenridge until about 1980 when they moved to Fl.

In 1947, they had a child, John Wolf Donnan. On Oct. 31, 1952 Rollie placed an ad for a farm hand^[8]. Repeated ad on 7 Nov., 1952 same paper ^[9]. Rollie raised cattle on the farm. 8 Dec., 1960 has 400 head of cattle and remodeled cattle feed yards^[10].

6 June, 1970 Social Security claim^[11]. 6 Feb., 1971 Auction: ^[12]. Note: Walter Harrington probably getting ready to retire and move to Florida. After 1980, Rollie and Marion were living in Maina Towers apt 508 Ft. Meyers Beach, Florida 33931^[13]. On 8 Nov., 1984 applied for duplicate social security card^[14]. Rollie had either moved back to Breckenridge or was visiting as he died on 27 Oct 2007 in Breckenridge, MI^[15] and was buried in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, Gratiot Cty., MI^[16] His previous residence zip code was 48615-8700 (Breckenridge, MI)^[17].
