WEDDING

DONELLY—McMAHON.

St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Chatsworth, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on March 17, when Agnes Lilian McMahon, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. McMahon, of Chatsworth, was married to Vincent John Donelly, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Donelly, Goodwood Island, the Nuptial Mass being performed by Rev. Father Durkin. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride, and a guard of honor was formed by the Children of Mary of Harwood Island, of which the bride was a member.

The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, who subsequently gave her away, and she looked charming in a frock of magnolia satin, cut on graceful lines and featuring a high cowl neckline, with tiny self buttons from the back of the neck to the waist, ending with a long train. Her veil (which was kindly lent by Mrs. P. Castle) was of embroidered tulle, and was arranged with a pleated halo and held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. The bride carried a trailing bouquet of frangipani and eucharist lilies.

Miss Kathleen McMahon, sister of bride, attended her sister as bridesmaid. She was daintily attired in a dress of dusty pink georgette, trimmed with tiny self-buttons from back of the neck to the waist. Her short tulle veil was held in place with a pleated tulle halo and a coronet of silver flowers. Her bouquet was of pink chrysanthemums, dahlias and blue hydrangea.

Mr. Joseph Donelly, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. The train-bearer was little Aileen McMahon, niece of the bride, wearing early Victorian frock of cornflower blue georgette, with tiny pink bows from neck to hem. She carried a basket of frangi-pani and pink bells. Master Gregory Ryan, nephew of the bride, was page boy, and was attired in a black satin suit and wore a white cravat.

The Wedding March was rendered by Mrs. T. C. McMahon, who was the organist. At the conclusion of the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, Rev. Father Durkin presiding and Rev. Father McEvoy also being present. The usual toasts were honored.

The guests were received by the bride's mother, wearing floral moro-cain and carrying a posy of red roses and she was assisted by the bride grooms mother, who chose navy crepe de chine and carried a posy of autumn tint chysanthemums.

The happy couple were the recipients of numerous congratulatory telegrams and many presents and cheques. Mr. and Mrs. Donelly later left for Sydney, where the honeymoon was spent, the bride travelling in a frock of blue Buckingham crepe, with navy accessories. The bride's dress was the handiwork of Misses Donaghy, of Goodwood Island, and the bouquets were artistically made by Mrs. Archie Anderson, of Warragah Island. ^[3]
