Marriage and family
In 1896 he married Maude Rose Hester Renall, youngest daughter of Alfred William Renall, JP, and Eliza Percy, with issue three daughters. Her elder sister, Jessie Elizabeth Renall, had married his elder brother, John Everingham Dorset, in 1872.
Death
He died in October 1901. His widow remarried in 1911 to Walter Nops, with issue one son.
