Biography
Graduated from Hurricane High School in 1950 and began work for Schoolfield Harvey Electric Contractor in 1950, On March 28, 1952 he entered the US Army and served in Military Intelligence during the Korean War and was discharged on March 24, 1955.
He spent 9 months in Massachusetts and on March 7, 1953 arrived on Okinawa and spent about 20 months there. During his military service he met Harry Estes who introduced Ed to his cousin Rose Marie Evans. Rose Marie and Ed were married on April 3, 1955.
Ed was an avid traveler, hunter, and fisherman. He and Rose Marie visited 47 states and Canada, and lived for a year in Guam.
Ed was a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge. He was past Master of the Santa Rosa Masonic Lodge, and the Sebastopol Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Windsor Masonic Lodge. In 2002 he was the recipient of the Hiram Award.
In addition, he also served as a member of York Rite, The Royal Arch, Commandery, Knights Templar, Eastern Star, The Shriners, and The Church of Christ.
He was a volunteer at Kaiser Hospital and was co-founder of Masons On The Go RV Club
He very sucessfully owned and operated John Low Electric.
