Biography

She had many, many friends and children loved her. After graduating from H.S. in Gardner, where she was a serious student, she went away to school [Bloomington Normal Teachers College, now Illinois State University] and then taught at a county school. Later, she taught school in Gardner where she herself had gone to school. She was an accomplished musician and played the organ, piano, and violin. She was active in the Gardner Presbyterian Curch and enjoyed working with children
