Windsor and Richmond Gazette (NSW : 1888 - 1961), Friday 23 November 1928: CLAUDE DOUGLASS, the nine-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Burgess Douglass, of North Richmond, who passed away in the Windsor Hospital on the 6th instant, was a bright little chap and was greatly loved by all who knew him. About a fort night before his death he accidentally cut his foot on a nail whilst playing at home. The wound gave trouble — it was continually bleeding — until it was deemed advisable to send the lad to Hospital for treatment. Nine days at the institution, however, was of no avail, and the little chap ultimately succumbed through loss of blood. He was the youngest of a family of seven, and the sympathy of the district goes out to the parents, in their sad bereavement. The remains were laid to rest in St. Phillip's Anglican cemetery, North Richmond, Rev. F. J. Dillon officiating at the graveside.
