Antje's parents were at first speculation since there was more than one possibility. It would be much more fun if she were the Antje born to Douwe Jacobs and Jetske Schregardus since that family is more prominent and goes on into the 1400's. However, the names of the children of the Antje Douwes who married Klaas Botes Groen indicates that her parents had the Schregardus connection, not ours. There is also a document from Aug 21 1786 listing Douwe Dirks as the grandfather of Wigger, Douwe and Eelke Meinderts and father of Antje Douwes.

Antje's brother Dirk took on the last name of Visser.
