Biography
Daniel was born about 1818. He was the son of Laurence Downey. He passed away about 1889. Newry Catholic parish records provided Daniel's marriage date and the baptisms of his children. I must assume that Daniel was, like his brother, a horse breeder and dealer. Daniel leased land with a house and out-houses from Isaac W. Dickinson in Shinn c. 1847 - 1864.
