Biography
Native Virginian
Thomas was the third son of Capt. William Downing. He married and had three children incuding Patience, Margaret and Thomas, Jr.. They were mentioned as orphans of Thomas Downing, on page 432 of the Order Book, 1678-1698.
When Thomas, Jr. died, his will, dated 1 Feb 1722/23 and probated 21 Feb 1722/23, left everything to his sister Margaret, strongly supporting the theory that he had no children.[1]

Downing-591 and Downing-3595 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate based only on the fact that Patience Downing Neale Grahm Coppedge is his daughter, downing-591 is not fleshed out but has his daughter Patience attached. Downing-3595 was being created in the apparent absence of an existing profile, and is the father of Patience. Thanks.
