JD, For privacy controls,check out the "Help" section. The circles at the top of the page shows privacy ratings . You can set your own profile to the red color for greater privacy. As for " volunteering " , it just means that you will contribute to the family history information on WikiTree by building a tree. We are volunteers (unlike the paid site) so that's how we get the family tree up for future generations.Some volunteers answer questions at the G2G .As long as you go by the nine rules, you are okay .
