JOHN DRAKE AND INLAWS LEFT NEW JERSEY PRIOR TO THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR, ABOUT 1770.

HE WAS IN THE 1790 CENSUS OF GEORGES, FAYETTEVILLE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA.

IN 1800 HE WAS IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA CENSUS, AND POSSIBLY IN NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA. THIS WAS AN AREA DOMINATED BY THE INDIANS. THIS WAS THE AREA, THAT BRITISH GENERAL BRADDOCK AND GEORGE WASHINGTON WERE AMBUSHED A FEW YEARS BEFORE. IT IS ALONG THE BANKS OF THE MONONGAHELA RIVER, JUST NORTH OF WHERE STONEWALL JACKSON GREW UP.

JAMES HEADY MARRIED AN ELEANOR JACKSON IN FAYETTE COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA AROUND 1779. THESE PEOPLE LIVED ON THE EDGE.
