Gladys divorced him in 1919. 'Lawyer Johnston held the hand of Gladys Sibthorpe Drake, whose hubby, Gerald Alfred Drake, went to the war m 1915. While he was away Gladys heard certain things, and when he returned to New Zealand she asked one or two very awkward questions. Gerald's answer was a written admission of sin whilst away.
