Biography

John Drake, son of Thomas Drake Sr. (1660 - 1759) and Anne (Griffith) Drake (~1681 - ~1757), was born about 1702 in Isle of Wight, Virginia and died about 1770 in Southampton County, Virginnia. [1]

His known siblings were:

  2. Lazarus Drake (~1715 - 1785)

John married Mary Brown (~1711 - ~1765) before 1746.

If you look at the changes history and the photo of the will on the Find a Grave memorial, it seems likely there was a mistaken merge done last year. I'm sure there were many John Drakes from Virginia-- but one of these merged was born in 1702, and the other in 1720. (Unfortunately, no sources for either date.) I don't see mention of a son John or John Aaron in the 7 children named in the will. To unconflate them you may have to start a new profile for the one merged into Kevin's.
