Isabell was born probably about 1579 to William Drake and Joan Merrylls. This is proven by the will of her mother Joan Merrylls Drake in 1616/7, in which she cites her "daughter Esbel Drake wife of John Smith."[1]
Isabel Drake and John Bland AKA Smith were married probably in Colchester, Essex, England, to John Bland.[2] John Bland was from Colchester, England. William Drake and Joan Merrels are also from the Colchester area (Elmstead).
They had the following children:
NOTE: the following children have been given to this couple, but are refuted by Robert Charles Anderson:[4]
Isabel migrated to Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony, in 1630 with her husband, John Bland AKA Smith.
Isabel died 12 oct 1639, aged 60, in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay.[5][1]
