They lived in Warren County, Kentucky in 1808. Jesse served as the Justice of the Peace for Rutherford County, Tennessee in 1829, a position he held at least through 1831. In 1835-1836 surveyors were ordered to draw the line between Rutherford and Cannon counties in Tennessee. This line was to border Jesse's land placing him in Cannon County.
