William and Mary's elder sons Thomas and David were both born in Maryland according to the 1850 US Census and others. The 1810 US Census has one William Drake living in Baltimore, Maryland age 26-44; 0-10 two males and one female; 16-26 one male and one female 16-25. This would balance the facts that Thomas was born in 1810 and David 1807. Mary's maiden name would be hard to find if they were married in PA. which didn't require recorded marriages till 1868. Their marriage date most likely occurred around 1805. Baltimore County has one elder Willam Drake and a third younger one for the 1810 Census.
Baltimore County has one William Drake marry Catherine Leckler in 1800. The 1810 Census has this William with 3 males age 0-10 and one female. William's eldest son David age 43 and his wife Nancy age 32 eldest child Mary is age 9, daugthers Hester and Martha. David married Nancy Drummond 1838 Harrison County, Ohio.
